§ 2-101. Definitions

(a) In general. -- In this title the following words have the meanings indicated unless the context clearly requires otherwise.
(b) Appellate court. -- "Appellate court" means the Court of Appeals or the Court of Special Appeals.
(c) Court. -- "Court" means the court in which the officer serves, but if the officer serves in a district of the District Court it means the District Court for the county or district in which he serves.
(d) Decree. -- "Decree" includes a judgment or order of a court.
(e) Judge. -- "Judge" means the judge of a court in which the officer serves.
(f) Penalty. -- "Penalty" includes a fine or forfeiture.
(g) Writ. -- "Writ" includes a warrant, process, or summons.
