§ 9-703. Director of planning and zoning.

   (a) Appointment by county commissioners. --

   (1) The board of county commissioners shall appoint a director of planning and zoning for the county.

   (2) The director shall serve at the pleasure of the county commissioners.

(b) Appointment by planning commission prohibited. -- The planning commission may not appoint a director of planning and zoning.
