§ 1-605. Designated parks and recreation units

Latest version.

   (a) Authority. -- A parks and recreation unit may:

   (1) maintain a park or recreational facility; and

   (2) conduct recreation and park activities.

(b) Staffing. -- The parks and recreation unit may employ an administrative officer and other personnel as necessary and as authorized by the governing body of the county or municipality.

(c) Volunteer groups. -- The parks and recreation unit may organize volunteer groups or councils to aid in the implementation of the program.
