§ 8-1501. Definitions

   (a) In general. -- In this subtitle the following terms have the meanings indicated.

(b) Former servicemember. -- "Former servicemember" means a former member of the federal service as defined in 5 U.S.C. § 8521(a) that:

   (1) is eligible for unemployment insurance benefits for ex-servicemembers under 5 U.S.C. § 8521; and

   (2) was in active service in connection with Operation Desert Shield or Operation Desert Storm.

(c) UCX benefits. -- "UCX benefits" means unemployment insurance benefits for ex-servicemembers under 5 U.S.C. § 8521.
