§ 2-113. Payment of taxes or fees in immediately available funds

(a) In general. -- Subject to the approval of the Treasurer, the Commissioner may provide by regulation for the payment of unpaid premium taxes or fees owed by an insurer in funds that are immediately available to the State on the date that the payment is due if the total of the unpaid premium taxes or fees is at least $ 20,000.
(b) Means for payment. -- Any regulations adopted under this section shall establish a suitable means for payment in immediately available funds to ensure the availability of those funds to the State on the date that payment is due.
