§ 15-1302. Scope of subtitle[Subject to amendment effective January 1, 2014; amended version follows this section]

(a) Applicability to carriers generally. -- This subtitle applies to all carriers that offer health benefit plans to individuals in the State.

(b) Exception -- Conversion policies. -- This subtitle does not apply to a carrier that offers only conversion policies as required by law.

(c) Exception -- Group health plans or bona fide associations. -- This subtitle does not apply to a carrier that offers health insurance coverage only in connection with group health plans or through one or more bona fide associations, or both.
