§ 6-409. Definitions

(a) In general. -- In this part the following words have the meanings indicated.

(b) Administering agency. -- "Administering agency" means an entity that the Department approves in accordance with § 6-414 of this subtitle to administer the Program at the county level.

(c) Emergency food provider. -- **
(1) "Emergency food provider" means a nonprofit organization or an organization operated by a local government that provides food at no charge to needy individuals. **
(2) "Emergency food provider" includes: **
(i) a soup kitchen; and **
(ii) a food pantry.

(d) Program. -- "Program" means the Maryland Emergency Food Program.
