§ 8-6B-01. Definitions

(a) In general. -- In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.
(b) Board. -- "Board" means the State Board of Nursing.
(c) Committee. -- "Committee" means the Electrology Practice Committee.
(d) Electrologist. -- "Electrologist" means an individual who practices electrology.
(e) Electrology instructor. -- "Electrology instructor" means an individual who practices electrology and teaches an electrology education program.
(f) License. -- "License" means, unless the context requires otherwise, a license issued by the Board:
(1) To practice electrology; or
(2) To practice electrology and teach an electrology education program.
(g) Licensed electrologist. -- "Licensed electrologist" means, unless the context requires otherwise, an electrologist who is licensed by the Board to practice electrology.
(h) Licensed electrology instructor. -- "Licensed electrology instructor" means, unless the context requires otherwise, an electrologist who is licensed by the Board to practice electrology and teach an electrology education program.
(i) Practice electrology. -- "Practice electrology" means to remove hair permanently through the use of electrical instruments.
