§ 4-603. Practice limitations

  •    (a) In general. -- Except as otherwise provided by law, a licensed dentist may not practice dentistry:

       (1) Under a name other than the name of the licensee;

       (2) As a business entity; or

       (3) Under the name of a business entity.

    (b) Practice in health maintenance organization. -- A licensed dentist may practice, under the name of the licensee, as an employee of a health maintenance organization that is certified by the State Insurance Commissioner.

    (c) Practice in limited liability company. -- A licensed dentist may practice, under the name of the licensee, as a member of a limited liability company.
