§ 14-5A-22.1. Employment of individual practicing respiratory care without license prohibited.

  •    (a) Licensed physicians. -- Except as otherwise provided in this subtitle, a licensed physician may not employ or supervise an individual practicing respiratory care without a license.

    (b) Hospitals, institutions, alternative health systems, or other employers. -- Except as otherwise provided in this subtitle, a hospital, related institution, alternative health system, or employer may not employ an individual practicing respiratory care without a license.

    (c) Penalties. -- The Board may impose a civil penalty of up to $ 1,000 for a violation of this section.

    (d) Remittance of penalty to General Fund. -- The Board shall remit any penalty collected under this subsection into the General Fund of the State.
