§ 4-703. Construction of subtitle

(a) Rights, responsibilities, or liabilities of responsible party not altered. -- This subtitle may not be construed as altering the rights, responsibilities, or liabilities of a party responsible for the discharge of oil.

(b) Evidence of financial responsibility for owners and operators of underground oil storage tanks not intended. -- This subtitle is not intended to provide evidence of financial responsibility for owners and operators of underground oil storage tanks under Subtitle I of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act of 1986, or any other federal law.
