§ 3-502. Chairman and vice chairman

(a) Election. -- The county board shall elect a chairman and a vice chairman from among its members at an annual meeting to be held on the second Tuesday in January.

(b) Vacancy. -- If there is a vacancy in the office of chairman or vice chairman, the county board shall elect a replacement within 30 days after the vacancy occurs.
