§ 3-203. Compensation and expenses

(a) Elected county board members. --
(1) Except for the ex officio member, each elected county board member is entitled to:
(i) An annual salary set by the Allegany County Commissioners in accordance with Title 28, Subtitle 1 of the Local Government Article; and
(ii) Reimbursement, after submitting vouchers, for travel and other expenses.
(2) Except for the ex officio member, each elected member of the county board shall be paid in 12 equal monthly installments.
(b) Ex officio member. -- The Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners serves on the county board without additional compensation. However, after submitting vouchers, the Chairman or the Chairman's designee is entitled to reimbursement for travel and other expenses incurred as a result of meetings of the board.
