§ 3-501. Definitions

   (a) In general. -- In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.

(b) Chief Executive Officer. -- "Chief Executive Officer" means the Chief Executive Officer of Maryland Correctional Enterprises.

(c) Contracting unit. -- "Contracting unit" means a unit of State government that is:

   (1) authorized to contract for goods and services; or

   (2) responsible for procurement of goods and services.

(d) Management Council. -- "Management Council" means the Maryland Correctional Enterprises Management Council.

(e) Political subdivision. -- "Political subdivision" means a county, municipal corporation, or special taxing district.
