§ 3-221. Federal grants and loans

  •    (a) In general. -- The Division may apply for and receive funds or property in the form of a grant or loan from the federal government or a unit of the federal government to establish or maintain correctional facilities in the Division on the terms that the Division approves.

    (b) State law. -- The Division may not apply for a grant or loan under this section if there is a requirement to apply any of the funds or property in contravention of any provision of State law relating to correctional facilities in the Division.

    (c) Approval of loan. -- The Division may not accept a loan under this section unless the Division has obtained any approval required by law.

    (d) Repayment of loan. -- The repayment of a loan with interest, if any, shall be made from funds appropriated to the Division in the State budget.
