§ 6-505. Striking railroad vehicle with object

  •    (a) "Railroad" defined. -- In this section, "railroad" has the meaning stated in § 1-101 of the Public Utilities Article.

    (b) Prohibited. -- A person may not willfully and maliciously strike a railroad vehicle on a railroad or on an electric railway in the State by:

       (1) shooting or throwing an object at the railroad vehicle; or

       (2) causing an object to fall on the railroad vehicle.

    (c) Penalty. -- A person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 5 years or a fine not exceeding $ 1,000 or both.
