§ 10-704. Mutilation

(a) Prohibited. -- A person may not intentionally mutilate, deface, destroy, burn, trample, or use a flag:
(1) in a manner intended to incite or produce an imminent breach of the peace; and
(2) under circumstances likely to incite or produce an imminent breach of the peace.
(b) Penalty. -- A person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 1 year or a fine not exceeding $ 1,000 or both.
