§ 9A-205. Powers and duties of Board

(a) In general. -- In addition to the powers set forth elsewhere, the Board shall:
(1) adopt rules and regulations to carry out the provisions of this title;
(2) adopt and enforce a code that sets minimum standards for installing, altering, remodeling, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, hydronic, and refrigeration systems;
(3) administer examinations;
(4) issue licenses;
(5) keep a list of all licensees;
(6) keep a record of its proceedings; and
(7) adopt an official seal.
(b) Agreement with county. -- The Board shall enter into a cooperative agreement with a county for the county to enforce the code adopted under this section.
(c) Application of county code. -- If a county has adopted a code prior to January 1, 1988 the county code shall apply within that county.
