§ 4-502. Qualifications of applicants for barbershop permits

(a) In general. -- To qualify for a barbershop permit, an applicant shall be a person who meets the requirements of this section.
(b) Ownership. -- An applicant shall own the barbershop for which the application is made.
(c) Location and equipment. -- An applicant shall satisfy the Board that the location and equipment of the barbershop for which the application is made meets the requirements of:
(1) the Board;
(2) the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene; and
(3) the applicable local zoning code.
(d) Inspection. -- As a condition of the issuance of a barbershop permit, the barbershop for which the application is made shall pass a pre-opening inspection conducted under § 4-512 of this subtitle.
