SUBTITLE 4. REGISTRATION OF APPRENTICE BARBERS |
§ 4-404. Scope of registration

(a) Apprentice. -- While registration as an apprentice barber is in effect, the registration authorizes the individual to learn to practice barbering:
(1) in a:
(i) barbershop that holds a barbershop permit; or
(ii) beauty salon that holds a beauty salon permit; and
(2) under the supervision of a master barber.
(b) Limitations. --
(1) An apprentice barber shall practice barbering only at the barbershop or beauty salon with a barbershop permit issued under § 5-504 of this article.
(2) An apprentice barber may only be paid for work authorized under this section performed while assisting a master barber in starting or completing an operation.
