§ 17-203. Chairman

  •    (a) In general. -- From among its members, the Commission annually shall elect a chairman.

    (b) Term of office; reelection. --

       (1) The term of the chairman is 1 year.

       (2) At the end of a term, the chairman may be reelected.

    (c) Duties. -- The chairman shall perform the duties that this title and the Commission require.

    (d) Bond. -- While in office, the chairman shall be covered by a surety bond in the form and amount required by law.
