§ 9-218. Queen Anne's County

(a) Application for license for uncompleted building. -- In Queen Anne's County, when application for a license is made to sell alcoholic beverages in a building which has not been completed, the Queen Anne's County Board of License Commissioners may give tentative approval of the application on the basis of plans and specifications accompanying the application. Upon completion of the building in accordance with the specifications, the Board may issue the license.
(b) Licenses near schools, churches, etc. --
(1) In Queen Anne's County, the distance restriction requirement between an establishment proposed for licensure and a secondary or elementary school, church or other place of worship, public library, or a youth center that is sponsored or conducted by any governmental agency shall be:
(i) 500 feet; or
(ii) For a Class B (on-sale) hotel and restaurant beer, wine and liquor license, 250 feet.
(2) Any distance restriction required under paragraph (1) of this subsection shall be measured from the nearest point of the building of the establishment for which a license is proposed to the nearest point of the property line of the school, place of worship, library, or youth center.
(c) Existing licenses. -- This section does not apply to, affect or prohibit, in any manner, the renewal or transfer of any license issued prior to May 1, 1976.
