§ 8-509. St. Mary's County

(a) Applicability. -- This section applies only to a golf course that is:
(1) Located on land that is owned by St. Mary's County; and
(2) Operated by a St. Mary's County golf course manager or a golf course manager under a management agreement with St. Mary's County.
(b) License authorized. --
(1) The St. Mary's County Alcohol Beverage Board may issue a special Class M-G beer, wine and liquor license for use at a municipal golf course.
(2) The Class M-G license may be issued to a golf course manager.
(c) Fee. -- The annual license fee is $ 600.
(d) Location of sales. -- A Class M-G license may be used to sell beer, wine, and liquor for consumption only on the land and in the facilities used for golfing purposes.
(e) Designation of agent. --
(1) The licensee may designate an agent to sell beer, wine, and liquor at the golf course.
(2) The agent shall be considered the vendor for collecting and remitting the sales and use tax.
(f) Transfer of license. -- On request of St. Mary's County, the St. Mary's County Alcohol Beverage Board may transfer a Class M-G license to a different golf course manager.
(g) Regulations. -- The St. Mary's County Alcohol Beverage Board shall adopt regulations to carry out this section.
