§ 8-408. Howard County -- Nonprofit organizations

(a) Authority conferred. -- In Howard County, the Board of License Commissioners may issue a WS (wine sampling) license to bona fide nonprofit organizations.
(b) Scope of license. -- The WS license permits the consumption of wine only for tasting or sampling purposes on Class B licensed premises with authorization of the licensee or on nonlicensed premises.
(c) Serving sizes. -- The licensee may not serve more than 2 ounces from each given brand to any one person.
(d) Application. -- The bona fide nonprofit organization shall apply for a WS license at least 15 days prior to the day on which the license will be used.
(e) Number. -- The Board of License Commissioners may not issue more than 12 WS licenses to any 1 bona fide nonprofit organization in any given license year.
(f) Fees. -- The cost of the WS license is $ 15 per day.
(g) Premises of licensee of Class B license. -- The WS license shall permit the applicant to carry wine onto the premises for wine sampling purposes with the authorization of the owner or licensee of a Class B license.
