§ 8-312. Somerset County

(a) Applicability. -- The provisions of this section apply only in Somerset County.
(b) License authorized. -- The Liquor Licensing Board may issue a special Maryland Wine Festival (MWF) license.
(c) Qualifications. -- An applicant for a special MWF license shall be a holder of a special temporary alcoholic beverages license, State Class 3 winery license, or State Class 4 winery license.
(d) Restrictions on display and sale of wines. -- A special MWF licensee shall only display and sell wine that is produced and processed in Maryland.
(e) Scope of license. -- A special MWF license entitles the holder to display and sell at retail wine for consumption on or off the licensed premises on the days and for the hours designated for the Maryland Wine Festival.
(f) Fee. -- The license fee is $ 19.
(g) Holding other licenses not prohibited. -- The provisions of this section do not prohibit the licensee from holding another alcoholic beverages license of a different class or nature.
(h) Time and location of festival. -- The Liquor Licensing Board:
(1) May select one weekend annually during the month of May or June for the Maryland Wine Festival; and
(2) Shall choose a location for this festival.
(i) Regulations. -- The Liquor Licensing Board shall adopt regulations for implementing this section.
