§ 19-104. Regulating possession or consumption of alcohol in public places

  •    (a) "Public place" defined. -- In this section, "public place" means a parking lot, common area, or general common element in:

       (1) A leased residential property, including attached single-family homes or a multifamily dwelling unit;

       (2) A condominium; or

       (3) A homeowners association.

    (b) Municipal corporation's power to regulate. -- In addition to other powers granted under this title, the governing body of a municipal corporation may adopt an ordinance or resolution to regulate the possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages in public places located within the boundaries of the municipal corporation.
