§ 15-110. Removals

(a) Boards appointed by Governor. -- The Governor may remove any member of any board of license commissioners appointed by him under the provisions of this article, for misconduct in office, incompetency or willful neglect of duty, giving him a copy of the charges against him and an opportunity of being publicly heard in person, or by counsel, in his own defense, upon not less than ten days' notice. If any member shall be removed, the Governor shall file in the office of the Secretary of State, a statement of the charges made against such member and his findings thereon.
(b) Boards appointed by county commissioners; removal in Montgomery County. -- The board of county commissioners may remove any member of any board of license commissioners appointed by them, for the causes in this section prescribed. In Montgomery County, the County Executive may, with the approval of the County Council, remove any member of the Board of License Commissioners for the causes in this section prescribed.
