§ 9K. Power of Washington County to adopt regulations for restricting growth of certain weeds

(a) In general. -- The Board of County Commissioners of Washington County may adopt regulations for restricting the growth of nonnoxious weeds on any real property within Washington County.
(b) Lien for unpaid charges for weed and debris removal. -- The Board of County Commissioners of Washington County may provide that any valid unpaid charges made against any real property within Washington County for the removal of any unauthorized accumulation of weeds and debris from that property shall be liens, until paid, upon the real property against which the removal charges have been made.
(c) Notice of lien. -- Prior to the removal of weeds or debris from property under circumstances which could result in the imposition of a lien as provided in subsection (b) of this section, reasonable notice shall be given to the property owner that such a lien may be imposed.
