§ 8-1003. Maryland Agricultural Certainty Program established.

   (a) Voluntary program. -- There is a voluntary Maryland Agricultural Certainty Program.

(b) Purpose. -- The purpose of the Program is to accelerate the implementation of agricultural best management practices to meet State agricultural nitrogen, phosphorus, and sediment reduction goals.

(c) Development of program. --

   (1) The Department shall develop the Program in coordination with the Department of the Environment.

   (2) The Program shall be self-sustaining and revenue neutral.

(d) Administration. -- The Department:

   (1) Shall administer the Program; and

   (2) May establish by regulation reasonable fees sufficient to cover any costs incurred in operating the Program.
